About this animal

Milk Snakes (Lampropeltis triangulum) display bold bands of red, black, and yellow or white — a Batesian mimicry of the venomous coral snake. Completely harmless, they are medium-sized colubrids reaching around 4 feet. Captive-bred specimens are calm and curious, readily accepting frozen-thawed prey.

Beginner level: Ideal for first-time reptile keepers.
