About this animal

The Northern Blue Tongue Skink (Tiliqua scincoides intermedia) is a premium display and handling lizard. Their distinctive blue tongue is deployed as a defense display, mimicking the coloring of venomous prey to deter predators. Heavy-bodied and slow-moving, they are exceptionally docile and quickly become tame. Unlike most lizards, Blue Tongues give live birth.

Beginner level: Ideal for first-time reptile keepers.
